Did Not Go Down As Planned On Black Friday

I think the Black Friday Tournament has to be the tournament I look forward to every year. And was I getting pumped and on Thanksgiving day I was so excited I had a hard time sleeping. I had not see the fishing this good in awhile, I mean calling your shots type of fishing.. The kind I like and who would not like it.

Leading up to Friday we had many patterns working from flippin docks to top water. Well Friday rolled around and the 1st stop did not pay off then stop number 2 had one trying to eat my spook but he was just as excited as I he kept doing cartwheels over it needless to say he gave up.. Stop 3 gave up a limit nothing big but we had to start somewhere.. stop 4 was full of floating grass then 5, 6, 7, 8 didnt produce crazy!! So at that point we knew they changed over night and heck I wouldnt expect anything less out of these bass, so we went to where we had a giant on Thanksgiving Day and nothing so we moved in a little and Thomas jacked a nice one and backed up with another good one … so we figured we had them pegged.. well 2 hours later I lose 2 really good one ( right dont lose any on guide trips in weeks and I choke on game day) so we change up once again and move and catch one that culls and we head back to stop number 4 and I lose yet another one and it was a dandy we keep at it and I hook another one and I do get this one in the boat but at the same time Thomas is hooked up as we so it was a happy time but mine was the only bass so few mins later He hooks up again and this time its a solid bass and she come unbutton inches from the net.. So if your counting thats 5 solid fish (counting the spook fish) not gonna say what the weight of them because I didnt get to touch them but its fishing so we rolled up with an hour to fish on a spot that just looked like they should be there and no luck. It was time to head in and I was very upset with myself for fishing so sloppy we cant win them all but man when you had the bites to do well and cant get them in the boat it really hurts.. We took 5th with 14.74 lbs we had 2 in that bag that was 1-14lbs dinks but hey learned a lot. And one thing it seems the lake is a month behind on the fishing so its looking like things will be good thru December , we have most days open in December if you want to catch some really nice bass out here..
