Has the dog days of summer started? By 11 o’clock it was almost unbearable with no wind and mid 80’s we called it a day. We did manage 8 fish and lost a few more, the lack of current really made them lazy. We had to fish pretty slow but when you get it near one they popped it pretty good. Thomas and I fished the Sylvania Football Ram Classic out of Goosepond , we caught what we weighed in pretty early which wasn’t a whole lot of weight but it got us 3rd place. 15.30lbs
Last week was a good week with some great customers and one day was a tournament prep day which means no pics… We fished mainly deep last week and will continue to till they leave or just get to stubborn to catch. And will be checking the grass more as the heat sets in, now last year they left the grass and stayed on the ledges so who knows what they’ll do..
We did find a new school today that has not been out at all this year so maybe more are on the way.
